Job Specifications
This will be the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a senior officer. Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:

Issuing personal particulars forms and official secrets declaration forms to newlyrecruited staff for filling;
Collecting and keeping bio data for newly employed staff;
Updating employees’ bio-data and ensuring integrity and safety of information;
Responding to application for employment letters;
Acquiring and distributing staff employment cards;
Updating staff compliment and establishment;
Processing employee employment details;
Opening and closing official personal staff/general files;
Compiling of staff attendance data;
Processing and computation of all categories of leave;
Collecting and collating data for training needs analysis;
Maintaining relevant HR stamps;
Sorting, filing and dispatching relevant HR mails and other correspondence documents;
Drafting routine correspondence; and Participating in updating the HR Information System.

Qualifications

Diploma in Human Resource Management, Human Resource Development, Industrial
Relations, Labour Relations or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a
recognized institution;

OR

Certified Public Secretaries Part II;
Meets the provision of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution; and
Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution. c) Competencies and Skills
Communication;
Working with people;
Applying technical expertise;
Customer and stakeholder orientation
Drive for results;
Attention to detail
